ReadySLO.org has an abundance of information on a variety of topics. Each week, the County Office of Emergency Services (County OES) will bring you a Tip of the Week. These tips will provide you with some information and where to find more details on the website. This article will capture a running list with the most recent Tip of the Week listed first.

 

Week of October 20 - 26

Week of October 13 - 19

Week of October 6 - 12

Be the first to share it in your neighborhood. Let neighbors know about ReadySLO.org. ReadySLO.org is a one-stop resource for San Luis Obispo County residents and visitors focused on emergency perparedness and response.

 

Week of September 29 - October 5

Keep updated on emergency incidents. The PulsePoint map shows active incidents from the Cal Fire/SLO County Fire Dispatch System. Learn more about PulsePoint and get the mobile app. Visit ReadySLO.org/PulsePoint.

 

Week of September 22 - 28

Get involved in Community Preparedness. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) train residents on how to prepare for disasters that our community may face. Find your local CERT today. For CERT and other ways to get invoved, visit our page: ReadySLO.org/GetInvolved.

 

Week of September 15 - 21

Teach your kids to prepare for disasters. Teach your kids what do do in an emergency if they are at home or away from home. For tips and resources, visit our Resource for Children page at ReadySLO.org/Kids

 

Week of September 8 - 14

Week of September 1 - 7

Know the hazards. Knowing which hazards can affect your home and work helps when making an emergency plan. Learn about the hazards that affect SLO County, visit: ReadySLO.org/Hazards. September is also National Preparedness Month

 

Week of August 25 - 31

Plan for extended power outages. Consider the critical equipment, such as medical or household, you will need if power was out for 3 to 5 days. Learn more about hazards, including power outages by visiting ReadySLO.org/hazards.

 

Week of August 18 - 24
